Colonels Win First Game on the Turf!

Meade County junior quarterback Cade Scott struck first with a 28-yard touchdown pass to senior wide receiver Bennett Hobbs with 7:44 to play in the 1st Quarter. Later on in the same quarter, with 3:19 on the clock, junior quarterback Trajdon Davis scored an 11-yard touchdown. Finishing up the first quarter, Colonel junior quarterback Trajdon Davis made a 4-yard touchdown with 4:05 to play.

At the end of the 1st Quarter, Colonels and Green Wave were tied at 7-7.

A 4-yard touchdown run by Green Wave senior running back Stone Redmond with 11:54 to play in the first half gave Meade the lead again. Seconds after that came a 65-yard touchdown pass from Colonel QB Davis to junior running back Tony Burrus with 11:36 to play in the second quarter.

With 4 minutes left in the first half, Davis scored again to give the Colonels the lead back. The Henderson County Colonels led the Meade County Green Wave 21-14 at halftime.

After halftime, a 55-yard touchdown was run by Green Wave junior quarterback Cade Scott with 9:04 to play in the 3rd Quarter. In that same quarter, Trajdon Davis ran an 8-yard touchdown with 6:09 to play. At the end of the 3rd Quarter the Henderson County Colonels led the Meade County Green Wave 28-21.

A 1-yard touchdown run by Green Wave junior quarterback Cade Scott with 9:36 to play came in the last quarter. Soon after that, a 3-yard touchdown was passed from Colonel QB Davis to senior wide receiver Koien Banks with 5:09 to play in the game. Later, with only 1:55 to spare, a 34-yard touchdown pass from Green Wave junior quarterback Cade Scott to junior wide receiver Branson Stull. But, after a failed 2-pt conversion, the Colonels would still hold on to the lead and earn the victory on their first game on the new turf. Final score: 35-34, Henderson.
