The Henderson County Lady Colonels hosted a top-ranked team in the Owensboro Catholic Lady Aces last night. The Lady Colonels played very well to start the game, rarely getting down and staying with the Lady Aces the majority of the night. Down by two to start the half, the Lady Colonels looked to pull through and get the victory, but the Lady Aces were too much and would win 73-63, giving the Lady Colonels their first loss at home. The leading scorer for the Lady Colonels was Brooklyn Gibson with 28 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals, while A’Tylia Green had 17 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, and 5 steals. Allyson Rideout had 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Anna Kemp had 2 points and 3 assists. To round out the scoring, Addy Gish added 2 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists on the night. The Lady Colonels' next game is versus Hopkins Co. Central on Thursday, and their last home game will be this Friday.
